Casa Lua is located 1 km from the picturesque white village of Galera, on the Altiplano de Granada (Granada Plateau). The estate of more than 2.5 hectares is in a private setting and is the ideal starting point to immerse yourself in Andalusian culture. There are no immediate neighbours and the villa has fantastic views of the village of Galera and nature.

A luxury villa for up to 20 people, located in the beautiful mountainous landscape of the Altiplano de Granada.

Casa Lua is a modern and spacious holiday home. From the terrace you can see a rolling mountain landscape with low bushes, olive trees, almond trees, various fruit trees and our orchard. There are ten bedrooms (two on the ground floor), each with a private bathroom (in addition, several baby and children's beds are available). The special feature is that some rooms are inside the mountain. These cave rooms are spacious, high, whitewashed and equipped with modern natural elements. They also provide natural cooling in summer, air conditioning is not necessary. Each room can be furnished with king-size beds (180x200) or individual beds (90x200).

On the ground floor of Casa Lua is the fully equipped open kitchen, including a wine cooler, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and bar. The kitchen is very spacious and equipped with enough inventory to cook for twenty people. From the kitchen you overlook the large living room with a cosy seating area, fireplace, smart TV and dining table.

Through the four-metre wide sliding glass doors you reach the veranda with sitting area, TV and dining table. The veranda continues to the terrace with sun loungers next to the outdoor swimming pool (open and heated from April to October), jacuzzi and outdoor kitchen with barbecue. Here you can spend fantastic evenings enjoying the beautiful views.

In the cave area you will find a heated indoor pool, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna and Turkish bath. To enjoy the nice weather, the house has all the necessary facilities, including several sun and/or shade terraces with dining table, seating area, sun loungers and parasol.

Around the house are several terraces with seating areas, dining tables and lounge for relaxing. So there is a place with sun or shade at any time of day.
The 10-metre-long veranda is also a lovely place to relax. The heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi have fantastic views of the surroundings.
There is an outdoor kitchen with a large BBQ and a paellera.

Part of the caves houses a lovely spa. An area with a heated indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam cabin and infrared sauna and, of course, a dump bucket with cold water. The barrel sauna outside in the garden completes the wellness experience. There are beds to relax in front of a panoramic window.

In one of the caves is a large dining room, where you can dine, have a drink or let the children play undisturbed.

Thanks to its strategic location, it is privately situated overlooking the white village of Galera. It is 1 km away and can be reached on foot in 12 minutes. Here you will find all the services you need.

Besides overnight stays, Casa Lua also offers options for catering and activities for your group. A private chef preparing a big paella on Casa Lua's terrace, or a theme night with tapas or Asian, anything goes!
We also organise activities for our guests on request. For example, a visit to a bodega in the village with wine tasting, guided walks, padel training, tastings of ham, olive oil or local tapas. There is a lot of culture, museums, history, etc, which is also well worth a visit.

In Galera you will find a small museum, as well as several excavations and even an old cave castle where the bones of Europe's oldest inhabitants have been found. Galera is part of the hiking trail ‘Primeros pobladores de Europa’ (First settlers of Europe), which passes through six villages.

The town of Huéscar is 7 km away and has plenty of amenities, including dozens of bars and restaurants, several supermarkets, butchers, bakers, clothes shops, etc. And special is Fuencaliente, a natural swimming pool with a year-round temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.

Nature in this region is so diverse that you fall from one surprise into another. From almond trees in bloom to a reservoir with crystal clear water and a large forest. And all in less than an hour.

The climate in this region is sunny with little rain. The area is slightly higher, making it nice and cool at night in summer. Humidity is also low, so it is not as oppressively hot as on the coast.
