Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.

Parking: The public car park is about 150m from the house (above the village). The car park is free, not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed. Luggage or shopping can be unloaded in front of the house.

Public transport: The bus stop is 20 metres away.


Number of persons 7: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house can accommodate seven guests (plus baby). The upper flat is entered through the common staircase. A door leads from the forecourt into the parlour. Through the parlour you will find access to a single room (trapped room). Also from the forecourt you enter the kitchen, from there a small staircase leads to the large dining room and a single room through which you reach a double room (trapped room). From the kitchen or the forecourt you enter the bathroom, which has a free-standing bath and toilet. One floor up there is another bathroom with shower and toilet and a double bedroom. The attic leads to the last single bedroom. The floors are partly made of stone or wood, so we recommend bringing good slippers.

Garden: No garden 

WLAN: Is not available. You are welcome to use the WLAN in the Gasthaus am Brunnen. Please ask for the password at the inn.

Open: The house can be rented all year round.

Pets: Pets are allowed.

Altitude: 820 metres above sea level

IMPORTANT ADDITION
The Türalihus is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Vacation in architectural monument disclaim any liability.

    “Sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere auch der Besuch im Gasthaus am Brunnen direkt nebenan (unbedingt ein paar Wochen vor Ferienantritt reservieren). Positiv: Tolles Ambiente in historischen Gemäuern, sehr unkomplizierte, hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Sehr schöne Einbauten. Negativ: Küche ist recht unpraktisch. Dusche ebenso. Beides funktioniert aber gut.”

    “Das Bewohnen ist eine Ehre, welches Respekt verlangt. Positiv: Wunderbar renoviertes Baudenkmal mit viel Raum und Authentizität in einer herrlichen Gegend. Negativ: Nichts. Restaurant: Gasthaus am Brunnen - Überraschungen mit ausgezeichneten Kombinationen! Ausflüge: Rheinschlucht - Wanderung in einer einzigartigen Umgebung.”

    “Gerne wieder! Positiv: Gut erreichbar. Super eingerichtet. Bequeme Betten. Negativ: Leider kein Aussenbereich, e.g. Balkon, dazugehörend zur Unterkunft (sehr verständlich bei diesem Baujahr!), doch der grosse Dorfbrunnen eignet sich bestens als Apéro-Aussenplatz.”

    “Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder nach Valendas. Positiv: Die Atmosphäre im Haus fand ich sehr schön und alle haben sehr gut geschlafen.
    Es hat auch sehr viel Platz. Negativ: Der Spiegel im Badezimmer könnte man so auch gleich weglassen. Sehr schwierig sich darin zu sehen. Licht nicht gut.
    Mir persönlich fehlte ein Teekrug.”

    Gute Lage zum erkunden Ruinaulta Lugnez Safiental mit ÖV Positiv: Schönes altes eindrückliches Haus Negativ: Schlechte Beleuchtung etliche kaputte Lampen zu wenig helles jedoch blendendes Licht ganzes Beleuchtungskonzept muss dringend neu angegangen werden! Ungemütliche unbefriedigende Möblierung
